a second movie on Arthur
and as important as the first one
is Doug Lefler's The Last Legion (2007)

I saw him with my son
as part of his homeschool education
in June 2015...

both "King Arthur" (2004) and "The Last Legion" (2007)

are based upon Valerio Massimo Manfredi's novel (2002)

with the same title - in Italian "L'Ultima Legione"

Manfredi is an historian, writer, essayist, archaeologist and journalist

with an impressive academic career at several universities worldwide

his book claims to be a more accurate version of the Arthurian legends

inspired by new historical and archaeological findings

it states that Arthur is the son - as we all know - of Uther Pendragon
who himself however was the latest (juvenile) Roman emperor Romulus Augustulus
brought to England with the collapse of the Roman Empire around 476AD

bringing with him the sword of... Julius Caesar !!
sword that he planted in his burial mound
never... to be used again !!

and this is e.x.a.c.t.l.y. the point
where this whole sage becomes more then elsewhere
very very interesting for us, for our spiritual search
