Paramhansa Yogananda opened this church.
With these words, which mean more today than what they did in 1942:
“Spirit of Oneness, Heavenly Father, we dedicate this Self Realization Church of All Religi-ons unto Thee. Bless us, that we may keep here Thy spirit of Oneness, blazing on the altar of our hearts, of all of us who follow various religious paths...
"That we may know, that although we have different expressions of Thy truth, still we are waves of Thy one ocean of blissful being... May Thy spirit link us together, good will to all races, bless us and unite us, in common brotherhood."
Due to his long periods of God-communion in this temple, there is a very powerfully uplifting atmosphere here. As a result, the spiritual oasis continues to draw and inspire thousands of souls each year.
